About

About Atlanta Edu Funding & where our data comes from

An independent guide to Georgia's school-choice money for families in Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb and Gwinnett, built from federal and state records.

Georgia's private school money comes from three different programs run by three different bodies: the Georgia Education Savings Authority, the Department of Education, and two dozen nonprofit scholarship organizations. Each one has its own eligibility rules and its own calendar. Atlanta Edu Funding puts them in one place for the four core metro counties and connects them to the schools where the money can actually be spent.

A School Funding Advisor reviews each funding check and calls the family back. Some schools and organizations partner with us; those relationships are labeled where they appear and don't change what we recommend.

Where the school data comes from

The directory starts from the NCES Private School Survey for Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb and Gwinnett (2023-24, with 2021-22 rows for schools that didn't respond), which gives grades, religious affiliation, enrollment, teachers, school type and association memberships. We matched those records by name, city and street address to GESA's Georgia Promise Scholarship participating school list (approved as of April 23, 2026), which also records each school's accrediting agency, and to GaDOE's Georgia Special Needs Scholarship authorized participating list for 2026-27 (August 2026). Both lists were retrieved October 28, 2026. Fuzzy matches were checked by hand.

361 schools are in the directory. 59 appear only on a state list because the federal survey doesn't include them; their pages show only the state's details. 120 are Promise schools and 153 are GSNS schools. Promise zone counts come from the state's 2025 Promise public school list for 2026-27.

Program amounts and dates are taken from mygeorgiapromise.org, the Odyssey help center, GaDOE, the Georgia Department of Revenue, DECAL, GSFC and HHS, and were checked in October 2026. No state record includes tuition. Schools can add it by claiming their listing.
