Kilombo Academic & Cult. Inst. (Decatur) — Georgia Promise & GSNS Status

Where this comes from. School facts are from the NCES Private School Survey (2023-24, or 2021-22 for schools that didn't respond), matched by name and address to Georgia's 2026-27 Promise Scholarship participating list (approved as of April 23, 2026) and GaDOE's 2026-27 Special Needs Scholarship list (August 2026), retrieved October 28, 2026. Tuition isn't in any of these records, so confirm it with the school.

Does Kilombo Academic & Cult. Inst. accept the Georgia Promise Scholarship?

Yes. Kilombo Academic & Cult. Inst. is on the Georgia Education Savings Authority's 2026-27 participating school list, approved as of April 23, 2026, so a student who qualifies for the Promise Scholarship can direct up to $6,500 a year to it.

The state records its accreditation as GAC (accredited). A participating school may enroll Promise students only in the grades its accreditation covers, so confirm your child's grade with the admissions office.

Does Kilombo Academic & Cult. Inst. take the Georgia Special Needs Scholarship (GSNS)?

Not for 2026-27. Kilombo Academic & Cult. Inst. isn't on GaDOE's authorized participating list for the Special Needs Scholarship, so a GSNS award can't be used here this year.

There are 153 authorized schools in our directory; the special education hub lists those built around learning differences.

What does the record say about Kilombo Academic & Cult. Inst.?

The federal record describes Kilombo Academic & Cult. Inst. as a private school with no religious affiliation serving grades PK-8: 32 students in the federal survey (2023-24); 5 full-time-equivalent teachers, about 6 students per teacher; coeducational.

Can a four-year-old attend Kilombo Academic & Cult. Inst. through Georgia Pre-K?

Possibly. The school reports pre-K students, and Georgia's lottery-funded Pre-K is free at participating private providers, but the federal record doesn't say whether this school holds a Pre-K contract. Ask, and ask whether the class continues into kindergarten here.
